Is there any modern advise for how to replace coolers for old cards, such as Geforce2? I have a Geforce2 TI AGP, that is very flat with it's cooler, and does not touch the PCI slot directly next below it.
Two "problems". The fan is a bit unusual, sunken into the flat heatsink, and is rattling. The other problem, is that it's even noisier blowing against the neighboring PCI card, directly almost against it. ASUS CUBX-E.
I am not certain if it's good to have a neighboring PCI card right up against it, but I would like to for having more cards in the system. I can get over that if I must and remove a card. Either way, it's very noisy but cooling does work. I am wondering if I could look into an alternative, if such an idea exists.
I do have some replacement coolers on hand, from around 15 years ago. But they would make the card thicker and encroach on the PCI slot below the AGP slot. I could decide to do this, but wanted to ask for any ideas.
Thank you
