This makes much more sense. More so since the MB has connectors for AV as well.

That's almost certainly the missing card, and now I want one. I sort of want to rebuild this machine.

It was connected to the GPU, so I assume the ports were double duty? Outputs when connected to this Ti 4200, or inputs if you have the TV tuner.

For reference. Took the pic below immediately after pulling the GPU. Yellow was connected to GPU. White is just a modem. I assume where the dual TV/Modem card would be.

you're probably right depending on how its setup could be input or output, the modem might be an original part if it is it would have a medion sticker on the bottom, in which case the tv card might have been the model without the network part, if its not a medion part then its probably a combo tv card.

also your pic reminded me i saw one on ebay a while back and made sure to save a pic of the inside, it shows the tv card but wont help much with the wiring.

looking at the distance from the metal part of the tuner and the connectors it looks like this might be the correct card rather than the one i posted above.

if it were me i'd definitley keep it as is, its over 20years old and theres probably not many left that are still complete, if you do manage to get it all back together a thread on it would be cool 😀

Thank you! I will certainly check this out. From what I can tell by the photo's side by side, I think you are correct!

The last one (*203226) seems to be a Tamarack TD3088A Hercules video card.
The very large card may be a multi input-output card (at least this is so written on the card itself) for handling hard drives, floppies, etc.
I myself used to have a Hercules monitor on my first PC, which was a 8088-based Schneider Electric.
The golden one has WD all over it, and Western Digital WD11C00-JT is indeed a controller, so I humbly suspect it's an HDD handling card.
The motherboard is a little bit fuzzy, but I suspect an Intel 8086 processor there in the top-left corner (those early processors were not square-shaped).
So I think a rich 8086-based XT with a hard drive, floppy and a printer can be guessed here.

Well, I would've said that bottom left, right above the keyboard connector was an AMD P8088-1 or maybe 8086, hard to read entirely ..

Bottom left indeed, sorry, I must have gotten disoriented while scrolling.

Well, I found a cheap Medion TV Tuner 7134 CTX918, and I'm seriously considering picking it up. It would allow me to fully rebuild this system back to it's original configuration.

I also took a good look at the case, the only physical damage is to the plastic indicated in the photo below. Right under the front panel IO and the floppy bay. The rest of the case actually doesn't look that bad for being 20+ years old.

I'm thinking I can fix those cracks, there's no missing material, and keep the system whole in all it's German 2002/2003 glory. I think that would be pretty cool just becasue it's a pretty neat little system with what I think is a cool history having one here in the US. Perhaps becasue I come from a German family, or perhaps I just like how this system was setup, but I really like it.

Edit: Just bought the card over on eBay. $6.59 + $3.50 shipping from California. 😀
