Gimme your water cooler and I won’t complain 🤣

Just checked the australian amazon for you.. https://www.amazon.com.au/Yeyian-Liquid-Cooli … 0/dp/B07PJRWLLX looks like it has the same pump than my MARS one. 😉

Have a Thermaltake SOrb cooler arriving in the mail (attached to a junk video card) that I will be putting on the 7950GT.

The stinky thing about the AGP 7950GT is that the cooler mounting holes are a 40x47.5mm pattern, which no aftermarket coolers support so I will have to mod or make a custom bracket anyway.

Also, good coolers for older video cards are even harder to find at good prices than good coolers for older CPUs.

Will also have to make a heat plate / heatsink plate for the RAM and bridge chip. I thought about cutting up the original cooler and using the plate form that but it isn't quite large enough to reach two of the required mounting holes in the card.

Then I will join the competition.

Sounds like fun to me. Welcome to the fun.

After some more fiddling I got the 7800GS working so, good news I guess 🤣

Bad news: one of the Bartons I have (the one on the NF7) is genuinely multiplier SUPERLOCKED - you CANNOT go lower or higher whatsoever. I found this while trying to do 10.5 x 245 FSB - CPU ignores it and does 11 x 245.
Good news: a few more Bartons showed up from my collection (including some Semprons) so idk, hopefully any of those work instead of the actual one I have.

You still using the stock bios? That could be why.

Nope, switched to digitalbath's modded BIOS, D27 ED55, POST sign-on is "D27 [ED55] vB4 NVDAMC 3.19".

I have never heard of a cpu locked from lower multipliers before.

The Tbred B 2700+ that I have in the Soyo is the same - lower the multiplier in the CMOS settings and it won't POST again until you clear CMOS.

My Barton outright ignores any other multis than stock. It'll just enforce 11 regardless of settings.

This is what i have been using. It is compatible with Intel Pentium 4 (Socket 478, LGA775), AMD Athlon/Duron/Athlon XP (Socket A/462), and Athlon 64 (Socket 754/939/940).

It be going on my DFI LANParty UT nF4 Ultra-D when im done playing with Socket A. Socket 939 will probable be the next Aiming for the stars.

I was trying to look into the digitalbath BIOSes, and it looked like they were mods that different timings were being tested with. What exactly do they do different than say a trats BIOS?

Nice score.. So you are telling me i have to strap that poor Athlon XP 2400 onto the A7N8X now to come and try to get you? I am tempted. Especially since my FSB was way higher. Perhaps dual channel memory could get me a little closer. But that GPU is making it hard.

Maybe 3850's should be banned. They are way too fast 🤣

I could make a bracket just for 3850's. But then I would just use my gainward bliss 7800 GS+ 🤣

Nah, keep it that way. I like the back and forth. Honestly, I feel like a youngster again sitting there with my dad and oc'ing Athlon XP2100 and XP2000 together with him. He had a 6600GT, I had an X700AGP - it was a fierce battle and I fondly remember it. Systems are what they are.

Once you get to the tbred again, can you run SuperPi? That'll give me a rough feeling for how much I have to torture that poor Tbred 😁
