Chaos on Deponia 4.7beta1:

The highlights:
- The Ultimate Fan Patch Edition Builder is the most comprehensive fan patch tool I ever wrote. For the first Deponia game alone, it can be used on 18 different versions. And now, it can also be used for 12 different versions of Chaos on Deponia.
- Play Chaos on Deponia in its original quality without relying on problematic old engine versions. The Ultimate Fan Patch Edition makes it possible.
- Many script bugs are fixed, resulting in a more stable game. Most importantly: No more game-breaking bugs with the meerkat.
- No more chopped of syllables at the beginning of sentences. This is an issue with every current version of the game.
- Credits in videos are again localized in all 4 dubbed audio languages, listing the actual voice actors of the version currently played.
- Spanish and Italian voice acting has the platypus bataka commentator restored.
- All 9 official subtitle languages are supported.
- Additionally, the Czech fan translation by ADV Dream is included with kind permission.
- Also the Brazilian Portuguese fan translation by scummbr.org | @scummbr is included with kind permission.
- No more missing or wrong music at the showdown.

Things formerly missing, despite present in the resources all the time:

- The Edna song full length, which normally only plays for a few seconds before Rufus automatically turns it off again. There is a way to play it in full lengths now.
To do that, remove the sheet music from the jukebox dwarf so he will not play when entering Gulliver's Gully the next time. Don't pick up the swordfish yet! After the generator is running again, Rufus will let it play the entire song now. Use it again to stop it. Any other action which usually starts music will also stop it.

- Pac Man's guest appearance, like seen in the press kit on the picture of Guliver's Gully. He is still there in the resources, but the view is blocked by a stand-up sign.
To remove that sign and make Pac Man visible again, just click on the sign 10 times. There is no indication that this action exists, but it acknowledges the clicks by a sound, similar to an Easter egg in the 4th game.

Like before, I won't mention such Easter eggs in the manual, but feel free to add them to Easter egg databases.

Chaos on Deponia 4.7beta2:

fixes from the last beta:
- Dialog lines overlapping or not playing at all with certain characters are now fixed.
- The "Continue" button in the main menu could fail to work.
- Message for loading a quicksave works again.
- The game now stays in demo mode when there are full version resources available but any matching full version voice files are still missing, which prevents the continue button from becoming inaccessible during the building process. The ready-messages for the individual full version languages were removed.
- The developer's commentary Poki is now reliably disabled when there is no commentary in the current language installed.
- The developer's commentary songs also work now when playing in Spanish.
- The UFPE notes at the developer's commentary now have a backdrop.
- Some questlog notices could be triggered multiple times. There are more instances, which will be fixed in further updates.

Spoiler

- In the German developer's commentary Gronkh is no longer processed unnecessarily since his recordings don't suffer from poor audio in the first place.
- The lifeboat impact has the screaming sound in demo mode again.
- Goal is visible in demo mode again.
- Some comments on eggs in the platipus field guide didn't work.

more fixes from original game:
- Possible hangups fixed when using the mousewheel while the cursor is disabled.
- The mouse pointer no longer jumps annoyingly around in certain dialogue choice boxes.
- Several character animations are now lip-sync'd which weren't before.
- All hotkeys and related on-screen messages got an overhaul to work reliably.
- The "+" and "-" keys adjust the global volume only instead of all at once.

- Bozo no longer slides while he scratches himself.
- The knife is now reliably displayed at the cursor when returning to the game.
- Switching the plague is now synchronized with the blowing animation and is also skippable.
- Outside Doc's workshop, Rufus now finds the way to the exits from the top layer.
- Clever-Byte is now spelled consistently with a hyphen.
- Rufus now turns to Clever-Byte and to the stick when looking at the stick before picking it up for the first time.
- Clever-Byte was optimized so that his laughter no longer gets chopped off and he always turns his head when appropriate.
- Doc uses "Sie" in German and asks to come in when using an item on the electrodes before going to his office for the first time, just like using them without an item.
- The door in Doc's office no longer throws a nonsensical shadow in front of the railing.
- Talking into the pipe is now subtitled in Rufus's yellow at the other end.
- Goal now always walks up to the stairs in the pub instead of teleporting to the top before reaching them.
- The logic for the availability of the dialog option "A drink for the lady, please!" is now corrected to appear only if Rufus ordered a drink for himself, Goal is present in the bar, and the task for the currently selected part of Goal is not done yet.
- The sunglasses now fade out together with Rufus at the end of the cucumber vision.
- The inventory gets now closed correctly when using the Golden Dragon of Invisibility.
- Rufus reaches to the projector instead of behind it.
- Rufus now walks to the thread memo, even when skipping the memo before that.
- Putting back the fire platypus into the oven is now animated correctly.
- "Es ist schon geschlüpft." now plays the correct sample in German in any case.
- After using the remote on Donna in Doc's office, Rufus now walks reliably to her, no matter where he was standing.
- There developer's commentary Rufus was removed at the north pole, since he doesn't say anything here. This changes only takes effect when deleting the current profile.
- Goal speaks invisibly from the wrong position when giving her the lottery ticket after giving her the trees before she walked into the wading pool. In this situation, it also could happen that there are 2 Goals out of nowhere.
- The seer has his idle and smoking animations fixed.
- When trying to give the umbrella back to Goon or selecting the dialog option "Your umbrella doesn't work.", the correct dialog is now played, depending on if you already tried to use it as an lightning rod and if the transmitter is already done.
- The level change works reliably now at the rebel camp in chapter VI.
- The baby dolphins have their hotspot text back in German, which was missing in all multi-lingual versions.
- The grunt noise when giving the torpedo equipment to the dolphins is now playing in all languages instead of German only.
- When the rope is lowered from the crane, the frozen splash is now removed.
- At the bomb control room, Cletus no longer talks into the menu or questlog.

- Clever-Byte has an idle animation, which now plays.
- Rufus can order a drink for himself again and gets a different response.
- Talking to the gardener for the first time before kicking the tree has some extra lines.

experimental feature:
- Now, there is optional support for Russian localized recap and intro videos in the game. The recap will play when audio is German or English and the subtiltes are set to Russian. The Russian intro is basically the English one, but with a Russian logo, thus it only plays when audio is set to English and subtitles are set to Russian. This is not in the builder yet, but you can install it by downloading a steam depot like this:

For HD, rename video.vv000 to ch35-00-v00-ru-hd.mkv, video.vv026 to ch35-00-v01-ru-hd.mkv and put them in Deponia_2_UFPE.app/Contents/Resources/videos2.000/hd
For SD, rename video.vv001 to ch35-00-v00-ru-sd.mkv, video.vv027 to ch35-00-v01-ru-sd.mkv and put them in Deponia_2_UFPE.app/Contents/Resources/videos2.000/sd
The long pause after the recap is not fixed yet.

known issues to be fixed in upcoming updates:
- Questlog behavior.
- Asynchronious English track in video cutscenes.
- Optimizing scene transitions.

For this update, you need to rebuild everything.

Builder 0.2 beta4:
- Fixed Visionaire crashing the GUI in some odd circumstances.

Chaos on Deponia 4.7beta3:

more fixes from the last beta:
- The game is now able to load a lua hotfix if necessary.
- The default video volume is now increased to 80%, just like in the first game.
- Better workaround for low music volume bug or music not playing at all. This also gets rid of restarting ambient tracks and resetting animations at music changes.
- Only the first hint in the savegame menu is now randomly selected. The "next hint" shows them in order now.
- The menu doors no longer get confused when hitting ESC, F5 or F8 while they are closed.
- The German Computerbild 1.1.4.2282 is now supported.
- Removed 56 MB of redundant data from resource2.001. (14 MB when built from a lossy version)
- Game stuck with no controls at the:

close-up fight scene.
- Rufus is now turning to the stick correctly after charging it.
- The cutscene with Garlef and Liebold having a conversation no longer triggers again after Baby Goal was convinced.

- Fix for the mouse pointer appearing inappropriately during autosaves in cutscenes.
- The menu doors are also closing when the save icon in the inventory is clicked now.
- The mouse cursor is updating faster now.
- The mouse cursor interface no longer blocks parts of hotspots in the upper left corner.
- Quicksaves can be loaded from the main menu if all play conditions are satisfied.
- Some scene transitions optimized.
- The hint text of the instructions button of the Complete Journey is no longer incorrectly located at the beck button position.

- At Doc's replacement parts store, Rufus reaches in front of the lamp instead of behind it.
- When traveling to the dock via the map, Rufus is now set to the map, unless the ambush is due.
- The fisherman now puts bait on his rod right after pulling something out instead of just prior to that.
- The fisherman no longer interrupts his fishing animation when talked to or when he switches between good luck and bad luck mode.
- The fisherman also uses his bait in chapter VI now. (wip)
- The ugly spot was removed from the inventory icon of the bucket.
- When showing the slides to the gondolier, there is now a reaction to that.
- In the pub, the songs will play in order automatically now.
- In the pub, Garlef's close-up is now darkened when the generator is off.
- When Bozo leaves the pub in the dark, the cup is no longer invisible until he's gone.
- Goal now looks up to Rufus when she gets involved in the conversation while talking to Gulliver before talking to her or switching characters.
- Automatic level changes also work at the market place and at the old town.
- Using the cartridges on the pipe opening at Bambina only works when the junk crabs are in there.
- You can interact with the junk crabs at the market place now.
- There is now a cutscene showing the junk crabs going back to the dark alley.
- When the junk crabs are sitting in the red pipe at the market place and the mating song is sung, they are coming back to Bambina now.
- When leaving Bambina while the junk crabs are there and the valve is open, a cutscene now shows where the junk crabs are going to.
- When using the pipe diverter while the junk crabs are sitting in the red pipe, a cutscene now shows them going back to the dark alley.
- The egg in the pipe system is now properly centered.
- When clicking on the instructions button or leaving the arena during the bataka, the fight is now properly aborted.
- The life indicators are now smoothly animated.
- The music will now fade out to play the Hoedown jingle.
- In the meerkat minigame, the stones now properly reset when clicking with it on an occupied hole.
- The pipe system minigame now waits for the developer's commentary to finish when the egg reaches the exit while it is playing.
- The door to the poet has a walk behind mask now, so Rufus can actually walk in.
- The door to the arena has a walk behind mask now, so Rufus can actually walk in.
- The door inside the pub can be heard now when Goal or Bozo leave the scene.
- Using the vacuum cleaner on the lint trap instead of the lint itself is now properly animated and with sound.
- Using the vacuum cleaner on the lint is now correctly commented on, just like when using it on the lint trap.
- Rufus now uses the wormhole animations in Doc's replacement parts store and in Doc's office, just like in the lock.
- The kissing scene now works without scene transition glitches.
- The close-up dialog with Donna-Goal switches sides instantaneously now, just like in any other close-up dialog scene.
- The diving suit no longer can become invisible.

- Looking at the sheet music stand at the gondola after he performed at Bambina but before giving him sheet music, there is a different comment on it.
- Rufus also has attack gestures in platypus bataka.

For this update, you need to rebuild everything, except for the video sequences and Complete Journey extras.
