Does anyone know how to patch DOSBox to show a game rotated in 90 degrees CCW? The idea is to have Pro Pinball Timeshock played rotated and possibly stretched to fill an entire widescreen monitor, without black bars.

Thanks in advance

rotate the screen in your gfx card's drivers and set dosbox to use that resolution

Tried doing that. DOSBox shows the game on the left side of the screen, partially cut off, in windowed mode, and in full screen mode, DOSBox doesnt even initialize.

yes it does, but thats normal. I can always use for normal2x or 3x for scaler to get rid of the bars (draw them off the display), in windowed mode. I've tried a lot of different configs, all with the same results. DOSBox doesnt even go to fullscreen mode when the gfx card is rotated to portrait. I get a window 1920x1080 wide, even though its in portrait mode, 1080x1920. The bars are minimal when this happens, and I dont mind running it in windowed mode, except that the image pins itself to the left side and partially cut off no matter where I move the DOSBox window. If it was centered, it would be almost perfect (except the scale would be just a little off, which I could deal with)

should work nicely with
output other than surface
and your choice of windowresolution
what is your gfx card?

fullscreen won't work as you want cause of black bars (unless you you try some virtual res)

windowresolution=1600x1200
output=opengl

This is the output I get:

Even if I move the window, the table is always to the left and cut off. I have tried all the different "output" options, all the same results. I have also tried "windowresolution=original". Still the same results

My gfx card is nvidia GTX 560.

Snotz, I have rewritten your thread's title to something more comprehensible.

Thanks eL_PuSHeR.

robertmo: Your link is exactly the way it looks when I am in Landscape mode. Nice and centered. Its only when I switch my desktop to portrait mode do I get the screenshot I posted.

it is funny cause even output surface is affected -> if you move dosbox window out of right border, its content moves. On other rotations: 180, 270 degrees more/other boarders are affected. Happens in both vista and 7. Nothing to do with game, it is visible on dosbox text screen.

can anyone with notnvidia card confirm?
