The adjustable height and angle are great . I have a Samsung 204B for which I had to purchase a stand because the original one was really unsatisfactory to me .

Managed to snag an Elsa Geforce 2 Ultra card for about $50.
Can't find any on ebay right now so I'm not sure if I overpayed or not, but I reccon it was a bargain.

Looks nice next to my Gainward GF2U (With DVI!) that I bought new many moons ago:

Nice case. I have seen this model before. I had a similar case back in the early 90's, which I think was produced by the same company but I have never seen the model I had. My model was more "round", like it had a belly. Also, the power button was black instead in gray. Did you find this case in the Netherlands? Maybe the type and model was unique to Western Europe...

I'm not sure, but this one is definitely not IPS, although it is high res at 1400x1050, which is pretty good for 2004.

So... funny story, I bought this random Siemens Nixdorf Xpert case off ebay recently, just because it was a pretty compact full ATX case while still retaining several drive bays in a somewhat weird setup... but it wasn't expensive and thought it would make for a fun build, I don't have a picture of the case at hand right now, but it is this one:

a little while later while browsing around ebay I stumbled upon this board with onboard Matrox GPU and memory upgrade... that alone was reason for me to scoop it up... turns out that's the exact Siemens Nixdorf board that belongs in this case type, see the missing bottom ISA? That's because the case only has 6 card slot openings ^^
seems like an interesting board overall regardless of this coincidence.

it also seems to have a socket for an extra wavetable chip in addition to the CS4238b onboard sound chip, google tells me that a CS9236 should fit.

also picked up another scrap lot that mostly consisted of trashed AV equipment PCBs but had a few nice boards in between, I kindly asked the seller to only send me those so all the big AV boards and power transformers wouldn't damage these in transit ^^

ASRock 939 Dual-sata2, one of these strange ASRock Upgrade boards with AGP/PCIe that I'll probably never find the upgrade card for ^^
unfortunately the heatsink came off (was apparent in the sellers pictures already) and the socket seems to have broken, the white plastic piece detached a bit and the lever fell out, but I could put it back together, will have to see if this one still works.

Shuttle HOT-307, some corrosion on the 32bit slot for some reason, but seems to be fine otherwise, battery had already been removed.

and the main reason why I wanted this lot... this rather nice ASUS PVI-486SP3, PCI/VL board :3

oh... also the asus board had this CPU on it which the seller seems to have removed ungracefully unfortunately, had to straighten a few pins again...
didn't have one of these yet, so that was another reason why I got it ^^

luckily I had also marked the two upside down CPUs in the very last picture for the seller to send me, because that as it turns out were actually the CPUs that were in the boards on the other pictures.

I had exactly this Elsa model like 20 years ago - with Thermaltake Crystal Orb - overclocked nicely 😀
But this was the only graphic card I had replaced under warranty 😉

I had it with 3d Glasses that worked only with CRT screens and high refresh rate (~120Hz) - nice gadget - I wonder how much the whole set with original box would be worth now (I sold it for nothing back then - like we all did I assume).

I'm not a huge Terminator-head myself, but I'll be sure to carefully remove it if I ever want to swap it out for something else, and see if I can pass it on to someone else. I've been thinking about doing a custom purple badge with a white AMD logo, underscored by "Am486DX4-100" in an appropriate font, but I think it's a bit expensive to do, given you have to get several. I was thinking of maybe gauging intererest in such a label on Vogons, and seeing if a group buy would be possible to set up, but I don't know if that goes against any rules regarding the ban on selling on this site, and it'd still be a lot of effort and responsibility for a small sticker 😜

And yeah, the seller is definitely into this stuff, he preloaded the system with some good games, and Windows 3.1 from original floppies.

Yes, it was sold on a Dutch site, so I figure it's from around here. It's always tricky to find these specific AT cases, given they were generic and mostly model number-less.

Nice. I've got the REV 1.8 of this board. I'm using this board in my DX4-100 build.

i needed a pci video card so picked up this stb velocity 3d with 4+4mb ram.
i really like video cards with add on memory modules.

I have that particular card, minus the extra RAM.

Real life is hampering my Tualatin tests, but luckily bidding and buying does not eat away a lot of time.

After finding my first AMD Slot A, I got another one!

For 30 euro I got the following: MSI 6191, with the proper, yet not-so-stable Irongate chipset, a Slot A Athlon 800, a nice Taisol Socket A cooler (which will be used for the Tualatins), 3 sleeved ATA133 and a Sparkle FX5900XT AGP. Hopefully all works.

Upgraded my daily from a 3770K to a 4790K as the former was acting up. If I can get the 3770K stable again, that will replace my Xeon 5460 as the main Linux/forensic station. The xeon will then be demoted (promoted) to a late WinXP/early Win7 gaming rig.

Looking forward to rainy weather and overtime leave 😉

Picked up this little sound card for a cheap price. Saw the Dream Chip on it and decided to grab it. I'm not sure what chip is underneath the sticker. Will try and find out later when i test it.

That looks like a winner! The chip under the sticker looks to be the wrong shape for Crystal but I'll make that my guess anyway - please let us know what you find.

Looks like an ES1688/1868 IC.. Awesome card.

Two parcels today - one very small, the other a bit bigger:

The Roland SC-55ST at last gives me full GS. A slight shame not to get the full display, but it would have cost me three times the price for an SC-55mk2, so more than happy with this.

And the MOS6581 aka SID. Anyone want to guess which sound card replica I intend to build soon? 😉
