Don't you think it would be preferable to maybe keep updating the first post without bumping this thread every day?

South Park (not Rally) does not work at all on anything later than WinXP. Using XP fix on Win7 you'll be able to get to the menus but not past that.
◦Grand Theft Auto: If game lags in DirectDraw mode, increase resolution in game. Couln't figure out how to run the game in Glide.
Glide version is for DOS only. 3rd party DOSBox builds and a Glide wrapper is needed.

SO there was no Glide version available for Windows. Only DirectDraw

Exactly. If you download the free version from Rockstar released in the 2000's, there's only the Windows version and it's DDraw only like the Windows version from the original release (except the free version added 1024x768 resolution). The original release was split in 3 different folders (8-bit colours DOS version, 16/24/32-bit colours DOS version which included the 3dfx version, and 16/24/32-bit colours Windows version).

The game also used some middleware on top, something like MGL, from SciTECh

What's the fix, I never tried, I just installed to see the game not run.

South Park seems playable with a .sdb patch
previously known as Discrete_BOB_058
I already tried the .sdb but it didn't work for me.

It would work, if you only rename the exe to SouthPark3
Yeah and I needed nGlide.
Also I needed a lot of patience to keep opening the files. You might not be able to open the game on first double click

I followed every step, renaming the .exe didn't work either. Only the XP fix I found on some dxwnd related forum was able to take me to the device selection screen and main menu but stopped responding after I started a new game.

Did you see if the sdb file is registered, you can check that in Control Panel, it will have a name 3DFX South Park Patch or something similar. Game doesn't work without the .sdb.
I installed it with CMD instead of a bat file and yeah, I kept opening the file continuously. About 20 times I double clicked and then it ran

Yes, the .cdb is installed, I double checked in ACT 6.x. Even after 30 continuous attempts it still refuses to run.

Quake 2 and 3 both work. Might need GL extension limit on some cards, but should need nothing more than that.
