Are the PCMCIA controller drivers loaded as well? My CD-ROM drive didn't get detected unless all 3 PCMCIA drivers were loaded then it detects the drive.

That card matrix is amazing thank you for putting it together! All of these cards are so hard to find. I have specifically been looking for that IBM 3D Sound or the SoundCanvas SCP-55 for a little while now, talk about rare.

Yes, I tried all 3 drivers (CS, SS and resource map utility).

IBM card is indeed almost impossibe to find. But SCP-55 pops up once in a while on japaneese Yahoo auctions.

Or maybe my memory of using the S16 drivers is bad...maybe that was in Windows 9x...

On the topic of PCMCIA audio, has anybody ever seen the connector used in the Roland SCP-55 on any other product? I was hoping to find another cable I can salvage the connector off or search for new old stock connectors. I have other types from hirose etc but nothing quite like this. I want to make a cable that has the 3.5mm output but also the 3.5mm input, without needing the full MCB-3

Nope, i haven't seen one of those, and i'm pretty sure it's probably some unique/proprietary connector... but I may be wrong...
Maybe count the number of pins and search for "24 pin honda connector " or "24pin PCMCIA card connector" or equiv.
I think they are called honda connectors, but I'm not %100 sure...

One of them is maybe compatible with Windows NT 4.0.

Oh wow, you have two of them, and you're willing to part with one? 🙂

I hope someone here who's tech-savvy enough could use one of these specimens to clone it. The cool thing about the Wavjammer is that it has native support in some (later) DOS games.

No, this card does not even support Adlib sound. It works only withit's own player in DOS and as is WSS compatible in Windows.
It's been sold under many different brands, just found another one.

Has anyone had success of getting the EXP CD-ROM + SoundNote to work through the line-out of the CD-ROM for the SoundNote itself? Mine didn't come with the speakers and I'm not sure if the sound gets directed through the CD-ROM drive or if it requires the speakers to work.

On top of that, I cannot find the exact speakers either and they are like unicorns: hard to find.

This is on my Pain in the NEC Versa M/75 that has only the Windows Sound Source.

Looks like that it's a clone of Computer Technica Inc. JSC-1 card.
The drivers are for W9x., but they include also DOS enablers. As for MIDI support - there is a switch in one of the enablers for MIDI base address and IRQ, but I'm not sure if it works in DOS.
