Works perfect.

running Tualatin 1400S cpu on full speed w/o beeps -)

Glad to read that it works. Have fun. 😀

btw: last jumper on the dip switch must be set off, it is also somehow affecting "beeping".

Maybe that has something to do with the intended usage of the signal pins of the PIIX by the stock BIOS. Some (like the THRM# one) can be re-purposed as general purpose I/O pins (which is what the mod now does).

Now to turn prochot (throttle) into a menu option 🤣

Is the goal to nerf the system or to have beautiful music constantly playing in the background? 😁

Throttle for dos!
Iirc it'll drop 75%.
Set fsb=66,cache disabled, cl3, and therm and it might be slow enough.
The noise might be harder to disable.

Btw Deniz...
I don't suppose you have ever documented what the bios uses the PIIX4 gpios for at all?
I have some idea, but maybe you know more

Dunno if this will help with this project, but I think I've figured out what the as97127f does - mostly.

Cool, thanks. Interesting to see there's multiple variants of monitors included. Never thought this might be floating around. 😀

No, sorry ... I vaguely remember seeing manipulation of GP status bits when looking at APM event handlers, but I never got far with this.

It'd be nice to know which ones at least.
There's a few pins missing from my reverse engineering.
I have suspicions, but not confirmation

Hello all! Be careful with the bios for p2-99b it doesn't work, the system won't start after flashing.

Thanks for the info! I've checked the mod and couldn't find any obvious error. Do I understand correctly that the BIOS does not show any signs of life after flashing (i.e. no beeps, no VGA output)?

Hi! Yes, no beeps, no output video. I restored to previos image of bios by using another board at hot swap (haven't special device), and after motherboard start to work. I do not know maybe revision of motherboard must be another ? Today think to flash bios for p3b-f, scary 😀

So I just picked up an ASUS CUV266-D

Board is missing tualatin microcode just like the CUV4X-D. The board is also unstable/cant boot into windows with dual tualatins. Board will
Also have issues posting and give the message "system has recovered from overclocking attempt"

Hello,
Just got in my hands original P2B-DS and i tested a bios...

It does not work correct with 2 cpu. Second CPU being super slow. like 386. First cpu running at full speed.

Same behaviour for HP E60 version -( second CPU slow.

reverting to original beta 1014 fix the bug.

ps.

P3B-F bios also looks like has a bug: CPU voltage can not be adjusted. It's always set as CPU wants.
