new discovering's:
EarthSiege 3: StarSiege Alpha Tech Release 2.1
have rbdgfx.dll which refers to redline and verite dlls with many exports, game seems can't use it or i can't find a way how to enable or force it. in game it called software renderer. i didn't started new game , just messed around in menu and options.

Need for Speed III
have veritea.dll and unfortunately it can't be used. game simply not runs.

Aargh! My motherboard /cpu is dead. 3 long beeps+boot led comes on. It powers on automatically without the power led. Hitting the power switch flips the error led from boot to vga. All the fans spin.

I have to find a b450 mobo tomorrow or I'll be out of action until Tuesday, thanks to the Buddha's birthday being on Saturday. Most of the places here are out of stock or in pre-order states. That's assuming the cpu isn't toast. Currently running on a lowly core 2 duo. Visual studio can't even track the mouse or register keystrokes.

I may be forced to optimize this for slower machines now.

Swapped over to an old b350 board and the same thing. Machine powers up immediately and no power or hdd light, but the fans spin.

I have tried swapping out gpus with no luck.

So it's either the cpu or the psu. It's the same without any ram.

Back to my sandy bridge i7 for now.

Update : swapping out the psu changed nothing.

The brand new Reno track built by checkpoint10. Works on every known version of ICR2 and is built with his new track builder, which minimizes texture and palette data without losing any detail:

Reno Hilton track at a lowly 720p. That's on an i7 2600 with a Radeon R7 250. The framerate isn't fantastic, just like the resolution.

Got a new Ryzen and a mobo, DDR4 based. So I'm back in action. I've still got a problem with the RGB lighting coming on when the PSU is powered on.

Updated on 03/06/2026: it was a faulty PSU.

This is a highly unstable and untested alpha release released for feedback.

To run ICR2 in 16:9 widescreen, two things are needed:

In Rendition settings:
1) Monitor aspect ratio needs to be set to match your monitor and the game aspect must be 16:9.
2) The ICR2 widescreen option needs to be ticked

Limitations:
- the super-resolution multiplier may have to be reduced as the game's internal resolution has been increased from 640x480 to 1600x1200. Your GPU might not have enough VRAM. With 8gb of VRAM the multiplier can't be higher than 3.
- Currently only 16:9 is supported [This will be fixed soon]
- Cockpit colours won't change with the selected car and will be wrong if your car isn't red. [This will be fixed soon].
- Cockpit PCX files are supplied externally, how ever this release uses an internally embedded image.
- Cockpit/HUD may continue to linger when switching cameras between views.
- Cockpit/HUD may randomly disappear.
- There may be stability issues.
- The aspect ratio *might* be a little wonky.
- This will only work in dosbox-rendition. Support for Dosbox-staging-rendition will come in a future release.

Very early support for CGL (Toshinden only, with rendering defects in FIFO mode and with logging) is possible with this driver with dosbox-rendition. Dosbox-staging-rendition has partially broken support for this:
