Do you think "Paint Shop Pro. IIRC" will run on DOS 6.22?
No, Paint Shop Pro is for Windows.
For pure DOS, the best you can find is NeoPaint - https://www.sac.sk/download/graph/npt32d.zip
Supports PCX, TIFF, BMP, GIF formats.
I downloaded the link thanks!
Unzipped the folder, and hit the INSTALL icon and managed to install it on to my windows machine that we are talking on right now. I found the short cut to open it and opened the program had a quick go at it
Opened a file (seams to only support .BMP and not .JPG)
The it asked me something about 1.changing the video mode or 2.convert the piture, and conver the piture to magic square
The first one came up all funny but when saving it, it was ok
Then the second one came up dotted and saved as dotted
So I then tried the fist one again putting some text on to it, though the text size will only go upto 21 size
But that is all in windows and I want to run it in DOS right? The unzipped folder contains
NP1.CPM to NP7.CPM (total 7 files) and an INSTALL file and a readme file (that is no good!)
So I am confused how I go ahead getting them on floppy disk as they are not labeled disk 1-7 or 1-8
I can not burn the files to CD because like before when i wanted to install "microsoft book shelf 87" from CDROM to DOS. everytime I inputted the E:\ or the F:\ (which are my CDROM drives) I was told "invalid drive specification"
***Edit** dont think it will be much use with out .JPG as this forum dose not support the file that it supports
